EU Entry/Exit System (EES) Consulting

The implementation of the new Entry/Exit System (EES) is around the corner, and member states need to begin planning for this system and the operational and technical changes it will pose.  Initial requirements are now available. Although the final interpretation of those details needs to be finalized, preliminary planning steps should be beginning for all member state countries in the EU.  The planning phase will likely be the most critical of phases, and careful consideration should be made to ensure the system changes are flexible and adaptable enough to deal with any last-minute changes that could occur.

As part of any planning exercise for a new system to be implemented, a baseline or audit of existing BMS features and functionalities will be critical to determine the current state and identifying the necessary changes needed for the EES.  Understanding the requirements from EU LISA regarding the EES will be crucial at this stage to ensure that the additional information and biometrics captured will be available for existing member state BMS’s.
